James, heres what i have at the moment. Let me tell you, these things flex! I had the extended cab lifted with an engine hoist a few times and these things got the tires way up in the air, with a less than desirable shackle angle too:p:

Btw, because they are 49" long, 2" longer in back all you have to do is run a longer shackle (6" should be good, id start with a 7" and work down from there to be safe) But otherwise they bolt into the stock location. Then you can just use a zero rate to move the axle forward.:p:

The have 8* shims attahced which should be right for a 73-87 rig.

hey bro, would you be willing to sell those front spring hangers you got fabbed up? im trying to stay with 6" susp lift on the next truck, and am thinking of way to limit the amount of arch the spring has. maybe take the last 2 leafs out of that pack or something. hmm

James,
The springs have alot of arch but flatten right out when they are on a rig. They are supposed to be 6" springs but i think they are much closer to 5" Also i wouldnt remove any of the pack. These are made by alcan specificly for our trucks. Youd have and extremly soft pack. I already got rid of the hangers too...(if you mean the front spring eye hangers)

any pics of it flexin by any chance before it was takin apart?

No, i never did get any pics. The front tire was clearing 3 ft i know (small shovel fit under) and it coulda went more, and with a better angle coulda done even better:D

I doubght it. The 6.2 isnt that heavy. In between a small and big block. Worse comes to worse you could always drop the front hangers too. (i know you were talking about skys, or just a differant hanger, i have specs for some) i doubght that would be needed though.

thats true:thinking: i got in trouble when i went to get the truck inspected for have the zero-rates upfront, they thought they were blocks and told me i had to remove them, but passed me cuz he hooked me up. so if i can avoid it, id rahter not deal with that again, cuz id like to be able to pass w/o bribery:haha:

im wondering if i relocated the front hanger forward like the 52" swap so i could get more wheelbase w/o using a zero-rate id just have to relocate the shackle. any idea how much that would move my axle forward?

Because the srping is the same length as stock fromt he front eye to center pin how ever far froward you move it will = amount the tire is moved froward. so to get 2" the mount would be directly under the body mount. or you could go b-52's thats work good:D
