here's thumbs up to s&w..those guys rock...
I brought the family cage from kevin @ ext 16...ext 16..
everything was going along great with the install...until I came to the rear cross bar behind the rear seat...the bar they sent was to short...Called Kevin @ ext 16 and told him the story...He said "I"ll ship one out today,,,FREE"..No questions asked...
One thing...If you order their cage ask for the drawing of the cage,,,It helped more than there instructions...
I hope to have the cage finished this weekend...I'll post some pics when complete...
Once again kevin @ ext 16 rocks...also got my ck5 discount...the last two years membership just paid for itself...

ALL HAIL THE ALMIGTY SAWZALL

Ditto on S&W and Kevin....very helpful and responsive. I have a family cage sitting in the garage and will probably begin the install this weekend.

Does anyone have pic's of this family cage?? I am just curious on what that means? I would think it protects the rear passengers and front??

I ordered my 8 point about 3 weeks ago and they still gave me $30 off for the coloradok5 membership. I got the main hoop and the rear bars installed already so I could take it to Silver Lake sand Dunes. (state park 4 point in a full convert. is required.) Everything fit good the only pita was connecting it to the frame because the boxes that stiffen the floor on the 73 were in the way. I'll post some pictures when I get it finished.

what was your total priced shipped and what type of tube did you order?

yeah I would like to see pics of how it came out, might be interested in one myself...

I ordered the 1-3/4" X .120" DOM 10-point cage last week. total price including shipping is $556.65 that includes the 10% discount that they are giving until 8-31-06

That sounds about right for a full cage. I spent half that, on the six point from smittybilt about 3 years ago, and then another 3 bills buying tube to make it a 10 point.
Can't wait to see pics!:D

does anyone know about the ews tubing they use? Will it hold up to a flop?

I am curious on the "EWS" tubing as well. I searched Google on it, and found a few different forums discussing it. The consensus is that it is Electrically welded seem, but nobody was able to say how comparable it is to HREW.

Anybody have any updated pictures of these cages installed.

Guess I never posted pics in this thread. I have a few pictures here: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2186902/5 scroll down to the bottom. I think I will install the door bars and possibly the dash bar this summer
