Swag Press Brake

i did wonder what piece of equipment it fell off of. It is quite beefy and heavy. Most every railroad crossing can yield some junk like that laying around for years and sinking into the dirt. It cuts nice with a cut off wheel on a grinder (and China Freight has them on sale for $10 this week).

whats on sale for 10 bucks ?

These things are great. I have about 6 of them, all with different wheels or brushes on them. They are so cheap, it is easier than stopping to change wheels or brushes when you are doing a job. Go from grinding for welding, to a flap wheel for rust, to a steel wire brush etc...

I even grabbed one for a cheap chop saw attachment, for when you have a small job and dont want to drag out the bigger chop saw:

hummmmm

i have the press in my garage now just need the kit

fyi nice press so far for the 200 buck range. and no it didnt come with the cool stickers. i removedthe china stickers and added the cool ones.

I have the same press. I used it about 8 times then went to use it yesterday and the jack wouldn't move at all. Worked the bleed screw several times, I looked for leaks, nothing. So, I took it off, popped the fill plug and filled it to the hole. It didn't take much fluid but it runs great now. Wierd. I love the press though.

Go to Harbor Freight when it is on sale, then get the 20% off coupon online (print it), and get it at a great price.

I have been looking at that press brake too. It is on my list but pretty low on the list until I get my tube bender up and running, buy some tube, then I will see if I can swing this thing. Looks like it would work great for the little bit of fabbing that I do. Which is almost none right now.

ya i got the press http://coloradok5.com/forums/showpost.php?p=2958532&postcount=5

just wasnt sure what he said was on sale for 10 bucks.

used my press more than 7-8 times and still pumpin. i did set the screw on the ram up so the pistion bottoms out just as its back to the top . = less pump time to act movement.

otherwise the only prob i have is the stickers basicly fell off. but thats o.k. i made it better with my own . :thumb:

The SWAG press is an awesome piece. But if you have the equipment, and the material or can get it, it's easy to make your own as shown. There's not much to it, it's a great project for the do-it-yourselfer. I made my own.
