My 700r4 swap is done...but I have a t case that is burping fluid out of the vent tube.

Not over full
Vent tube is run to the firewall.
Seems to be at highway speeds

I filled the t case with a blue fluid to make sure it was not bleeding from the transmission

I have read where these t cases had a problem with doing this and gm had to correct it.

I have also heard of mounting a catch bottle that would allow it to bleed back to the t case.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. This has been a long process for someone that has never done it before. I would like to cry right now but for some reason I can’t.

I have access to a np208 but I am not sure it won’t do the same thing.

Have you ensured the vent tube is actually allowing the case to vent at all times?

You'd have to pull it off at the case end to make sure it was clear of course.

I've never heard of any of the GM cases (at least the 203, 205, 208 or 241's) having a problem with venting like that.

All I can think of is that there is some kind of pinch point or restriction (bad vent cap?) that allows pressure to build up too much, then when it lets loose, it has a lot of pressure behind it. You'd have to have a LOT of fluid expansion to push fluid that far if the case is properly filled, and I don't see that being possible.

Mine does this and @AgDieseler has or had this issue.. I have not found a resolution yet..
I had this problem with the ORD magnum and the 205. I drained and refilled both to the exact capacities Stephen recommended, and combined their vents and routed it uphill to a catch can bottle. All good since then.

Try capturing the fluid to see how much you're burping, and if that declines over time.
