well i reckin it could work but someone here has probably done it , i take it you have a 700r4 wich should be a 27 spline output but i think there is a 30 spline as well. gm np205's have 10 and i think 30 spline, dodge has a 29 spline 205 dont remember about ford. what is the 205 out of. i want to say some of the late 80's to 90's 1tons had 205's on them. but i dont know for sure hopefully someone on here has delt with this more than i have.

my 1985 Jimmy came with a 700R4 / np208. Swap was simple... just bought a 27-spline th350-version np205 along with the factory adapter... a 2"-ish spacer (search for part number, its out there) and then trimmed 1/8" off the end of the 700s output shaft. You can do it while its in the rig, no problem.

anybody ever heard of a dodge 205 to a 700r4? i found a rebuilt one for cheap and i donno if i should buy it. i checked advance adapters and they don't do it. i think i'm pretty good with fabwork and my school has the resources so that's not an issue... think i could do it??
