Swapped a new battery in my 2020 Suburban today

Bwhahahahah. Its ridiculous one would have to replace a battery on a two-year-old 'Burb. It's just as ridiculous actually replacing the battery with the giant pile of mega fuses on top.

I don't miss the dealership over dumb crap like that.

Yeah I had to put one in a '19 or '20 half ton we have at work. I hate changing the newer Chevy batteries with them up under the cowl where they are.

I was surprised as well that the battery wouldn’t hold a charge after two years. I’m sure it had some sort of prorated warrant, I just didn’t have time to screw with the dealership.

I’m not sure what changed in 4 months being out of the dealer, but batteries used to be full replacement as long as it was inside the base bumper to bumper warranty.

Quick double check would be to look in the warranty manual that came with the truck.

But I totally get not wanting to go screw with the dealer over it. They would tell you if it’s not covered there’s an hour of labor to diagnose, labor to replace and retail price on a battery.
