well i've done my searching and couldn't find the answers i wanted. As some of you may have read, my 6.2's starter mount on the block broke off so now i'm looking for a new motor.

What i want to know is, whats involved with slamming a 6.5 in place of the 6.2? The motor i'm looking at is from a 94 4x4, backed by a 4l80e tranny. Arn't the 6.5's of that year laced with wiring, ecm's and all that junk? Thanks for any information in advanced.

94 is the first year they started the computer controled IP so yes it has more wiring but it still can be done pretty easy if you have the donor wiring with it.
Physically it's the same you just need to put the wiring in. The 4l80e would be a nice addition too.:D

Or you can put the mechanical injector pump off of your 6.2L onto the 6.5L, bolt it in and go.

I would at least suggest to build that mechanical pump to 6.5 spec to get the power out of it :D

well the pump off my 6.2 would atleast need a rebuild because the seal on the throttle linkage has been getting pretty bad. I'm just going to keep shopping for a 6.2 with a turbo. Found a few for a good deal, but i'm back up north now and didn't have the time to check them out. The hunt is still on....

thanks for the info though guys, i'll keep my eyes open a little brouder (sp?) now
