I have a 1989 K5 350 TBI 700r4 NP 241 with 3/4 ton axles on a 4 inch lift(tuff country front springs ORD shackleflip). The drivetrain is solid, and the body is free of rot but is so banged up it would be ridiculous to try and fix. I want to get a roller full convert and swap everything over. I haven't had much opportunity to do any real offroading lately, and would like to turn it into a cruiser that is relatively capable if I choose to take it places.

I know the suspension is different, but what other issues would I run into? How much custom fabrication would be necessary?

I've done a good bit of work on this truck myself (3/4 ton swap, crossover steering, torn both axles completely apart), but do not know how to weld or have access to a welder.

Also if anyone knows of any build threads where someone has done something similar I would be very interested.

ajs72k5 cruiser build is a 72 or something with a 454 700r4 241 and 44/14 and its pretty baller. its the one with the wild paint job.
you should check it out, hes got the thread in the 1 gen section.

If I understand you correctly you want to swap all of your 89 drivetrain into a 73-75 full top blazer? If so everything is a direct swap. The 69-72 full top blazer is a different story as the front springs are different lengths and the rear perches are narrower then your 89 stuff and the wheelbase is shorter.
