Swapping a 2wd TH400 into a 4wd

The TH400 went out in a 3/4 ton suburban, 4x4.
We have a 2wd suburban, same year, with a TH400.
Can we swap the 2wd TH400 into the 4wd one?
What does it take besides putting the adapter on?

I'm quite certain the TH400 2wd output shaft (bolt-on yoke type) is the same length as one of the 4wd shafts... I know its not the NP203 version... must be for the 208 or 205.

I believe that this has a 241.
Not positive.

2WD 400 is different than 4WD 400 unless it has the bolt on fixed yoke at the tranny.
