swapping a 4wd 700r4 into a 2wd

is it possible to unbolt the t case, swap outputs and bolt it into a 2wd??
if so whats the going rate for the correct shaft and output housing??

Yes it's possible. To swap output shafts though you have to take the tranny ALL the way apart. Price for the shaft, good question. I would guess somewhere around $100.00 since the short shaft for them are $160.00. Why not just find a 2wd trans and be done?

well not all the way apart u dont have to take the low/reverse piston out..... but yea thats pretty much everything
