Hi. I tried to search but I keep finding axle swap info heh. I was wondering if it's a big to-do to swap a 73-79 style single-round-headlight front end onto my 88?

Anyone with that style want the 88 style? :)

I did this when I made my clone 75 out of a 89. The only real issue is that the rad. support mounts are about 1/2" off. I had to open them up, then weld on new tops. That could have just been my truck. I had to shim body mounts for everything to line up. (full top, aftermarket parts).

The wiper pivots are shorter on the older trucks. You will need to use the old wiper pivots to keep the wipers under the hood. The mounting for the pivots have 2 bolts, the 81 up have 3. You can drill new holes to make them fit. I did the reverse swap, 84 nose on a 78 K5.
