swapping between years.

tired of my 86 body style. still love the 69-72 style and was wondering if my springs, axles motor tranny tcase will swap over.

im currently set up with 4 inch springs in front, DIY flip in rear with 3/4 ton springs. D60/D60 350/sm465/208

if i buy a manual 69-72 k5 will everything pretty much swap over?

i already know my winch bumper, rear bumper and soft top wont work but i was hoping the mechanicals would.

You can swap the engine/trans/t-case and axles but the driveshafts will no doubt need to be adjusted for length and the front springs are different (2nd gen are longer) the rears you can make work.

Probably have to move the rear axle perches. I did on mine.

I will start keeping my eyes open for a carrying case for your parts!

Oops, forgot about that. Yes the perches on the rear axle will need to be moved. The 1st Gen is 40.5" center to center and 2nd Gen is 42.5" center to center.
