I know location is everything but I have a set of axles here in AR that I'll be swapping out. The front is a D44 and rear is a 12B out of a 71 K10. Both have detroits and moser axles and the rear has c-clip eliminator and disc kit(not installed)just wondering a ballpark price to sell them for would be? Thanks, Matthew

They arent worth anything. Ship them to me and ill pay the shipping.

I was hoping somewhere in the $500-$800 range but I really don't know. Would it be better to part the axles out?

part them out. sell the good stuff, then scrap the housings. you could buy 1-tons for $800.

Ya, I probably personally wouldn't have spent more than about $400-$500 for those when I was considering 1/2 tons. As soon as you snap one of those spendy shafts, they add up to the cost of a 60 real quick. Plus, over the lifetime, a 60 will be less maintenance. And putting any money into a rear besides a 1 ton is kind of silly. 14 bolts go for free occasionally on Craigslist around here and are so much stronger than any smaller rear end.

On the other hand, when I was doing the half-ton thing, I probably would have paid around $100 for any one of those components over the years. I'd be surprised if you couldn't make more parting them out. That is, unless you find a guy running a CJ or Sami (I think) that needs a stronger set of passenger drop axles. Around here, everybody wants drivers drop, so you can't give away 1/2 ton GMs.

Thanks for the info. That's what i was worried about. That being said, what would used detroits and the axles go for and the flattop knuckle? Opinions welcome.

browse through the for sale forums on here to get an idea of what people have actually sold parts for, all of those are good pieces and the jeep guys will be all over the D44 stuff

id say you could get at least 500 for the pair.i sold my last 12 bolt for 200 bucks to a guy who wanted to put it in his camaro.you never know who'll want em til you list em.craigslist is free.
