I have a 1990 chevy blazer that is my dd. its got 4" lift and 33s. the axles under it now are from an 1980. the rear end has excessive play(or i guess so its over 1/4 turn of the pinion) the front blew the spiders. I'm currently using a conversion u joint and want to eliminate that. the t case is getting bad, the bearings are going and i put a 3"x5" hole in the side. and just to put it in here i took a peice of cardboard and covered both sides with J B weld and put it on, to get it home, it been holding for 8 monthes. the motor is great and the trans is a fresh rebuild. I just aquired a 76 k5 i was going to use it as a beater, but its got a 350 th350 203 12bolt rear i have yet to look at the front, I'm thinking about putting the axles tcase and shafts in the 90.

and will if i put the 203 in before i get the part time kit, does it need to come back out to put the kit in?

any ideas comments, advise or problems i may run into would be a great help.

also thinkin about cutting it up since i'm taking so much out, and using the rear 52s up front, and then buying some lockers. and then i mite be happy.

I'll post some pics later.

You'll need to work around the VSS issue assuming you are still TBI in the '90, if you decide to swap t-cases.
