Swapping TBI to another vehicle...

That's what I'm saying, parts of the harness have been screwed with, but I doubt the p.o.'s had enough brains or balls to mess with the EFI portion of it. Like I said, when I get to it, I'll put it all and see what kind of shape it's in. If it's in reasonably good or repairable shape I'll use it. If not I'll buy a painless setup. When coilovers are $600 per corner plus links....$350 for a complete plug and play wiring harness isn't so bad.

That's my cheap side. My jeep is trail only, runs leaf springs, body looks terrible, but it works great. The $350 for the painless harness (is this the cost for the TBI harness?) is more than I paid for the complete, running 93 TBI 350 that is currently in my jeep (complete motor with all accessories, manifolds, computer, harness, etc.).

I think I have maybe $300 in to my swap. That inculdes the motor and all components (free), headers (130), fuel pump (130), and misc stuff.

If I can reuse the factory harness my swap will need a fuel tank and pump....headers....and maybe a mini starter. I think that's it. I could probably re-use my manifolds and current tank but once again, we'll see how much bling I want to put into this.

I would consider the stock harness unless it was totally shot. You can replace one wire at a time if needed. Just buy a cheap soldering iron and some heat shrink to do a good job splicing - no mechanical connects ~crimps.

I am confident almost anyone could fashion thier own harness with a little time and effort. Certainly worth not spending $350-$400...
