While dealing with my steering boxes recently I found the splines on my rag joint are totally stripped. I figured now was the perfect time to swap to the ujoint style instead. What is needed and any tricks on how to do the swap?

I picked a shaft out of an astro van yesterday for $12. They need to be cut and welded. Charokees are about the right size, but it was too fn hot to crawl in a heep engine conpartment. There are several older posts on it in the search section. Ill post pics when I do mine

I picked up a couple for some members from pick n pull and I also installed mine and work great. They are off cherokee they are a little longer just have to hit them with hammer and measure length. Then when hooking up to firewall side you have to grind a notch on steering column side.

Called the dealer today to just get an idea of what they run new and found out that they are $242 list.
