How do you like it so far? driven highway at all with it off? I took mine off a week or so ago, and i think i`m still going to put the discos i bought on..

I drove it tonight and to me I cant tell any difference in body roll.I can tell it rides better.I dont fell every bump in the road.I dont know how much good it was doing me with it on since the bushings were pretty much shot anyways.
I had to use a 1 1/8" socket with a pull handle and a piece of pipe on the pull handle to get the bolts loose and that was after I soaked them in penetrating oil for an hour.

I screwed the bolts back into the holes on the spring plates and I put new bolts in the holes on the frame.

uhh why to you have to put the bolts back in when you take the swaybar out? i did not do that and it has been well over a year with out it

I just put a lift on one of my hunting burbs, a 79, and I couldn't break the bolts loose with a 3/4 impact they were so frozen. This truck has been in the desert all it's life!

yeah i tried and got the frame bolts out no problem and then got to those and said F it!

heres my redneck inginuity.I used a 1 1/8" socket on a pull handle and put a piece of pipe on the pull handle then used a floor jack on the pipe and it broke right loose! My father in law was around when I did it and he came around the corner with a funny look on his face and said"what are you doing I have a impact gun ....then he noticed it laying on the floor beside the front tire..".he just laughed and walked off.

I guess thats what folks from outside of dixie call YANKIE inginuity :wink1:

Good tip! When I bought my Blazer someone had added a REAR sway bar. I plan to pull it off and replace the front bushings and see how she rides.

I've definitely used a jack on a ratchet handle....i think to get the rear diff plug out. Cheap 3/8" ratchet in a $10 costco setup and it held up !

a LOT of PB blaster and liek he said. a 1/2" drive socket w/ a 2.5' peice of pipe is what it took to get it off my previous blazer

all mine took was a breaker bar to break them loose then a junky 1/2in electric impact to spin them off

all i need was the breaker bar to spin them loose, then they came right out by hand
