I have been going back and forth on replacing the sway bar on my project. Its an 80 Chevy 1/2 ton Scottsdale. The sway bar has been removed and I was wondering if it makes that much difference when lifting the truck to have it or not. I know it makes a difference when its not cuz its really squirrly driving it now. Also if the sway bar is needed what size sockets or wrenches do I need to take with me to the JY. Thanks

a sway bar makes a smoother ride on the roa but it restricts flex while wheelin. i just leave mine of all the time.... i dont even think i still have it.

mine is gone too, dont even have the parts in my garage anymore.

When I was DDing mine I liked haveing it.
So many idots in Hondas on the freeway and evasive manuvers at 65+ is not fun with out it. I did have the diconnects from ORD so that it did not hinder my wheeling.
I dont drive it much on the road anymore and with crossover it was added to the dead parts pile.
