Can you still run the swaybar with a dana 60 front with cross over steering on a 72 blazer? It doesn't look like there's any room. It's on the road more than off (twice a year to MI sand dunes) so it would be nice to keep it.

Thanks!

typically theres no room...

most people who 1 ton a blazer have atleast a few inches of lift...spring rate is typically so high that a sway bar isn't needed.

i have 6 inches of lift.

I read a thread where they say to take off the sway bar and put on the steering box frame brace, but they seem to be more off road.

not sure how bad the 69-72 frames are, but the 73+ frames rip like paper. A brace is NEVER a bad idea...

and the vast majority of the guys on the site with lifted trucks run WITHOUT a sway bar, on or offroad. my blazer was my DD till 2 months ago and it hadn't had a sway bar since 05. 52/63s and a bunch of other crap done with suspension.

you can see it twisting when my daughter moves the steering wheel back and forth. Could you tell the difference without the sway bar or when you did the other "crap" was the sway bar removed?

I'd take it off now and do a comparison test but the tires were junk (some off brand that made you feel like you had bump steer) and are now dry rotted.

You can fabricate one fairly easily. Look at Offroad Unlimited website as they sell most of the parts and can help you through it.
