If I bought it, it would get cut up fast. Sell the body to someone who is interested in such nonsense, use the axles, trade the tires for some 42's, etc.

Those are indeed "kicker shocks". Desgned to reduce axle wrap. Very common on leaf sprung muscle cars of the 70s-80's. Im told they even came stock on some mustangs (fox bodys?).

In all honesty it would possibly prevent a small amount of wheel hop, but constant pressure would still collapse the shocks and cause wrap. Its more of an "anti wrap slower downer...er...."
