The local HF has a couple of those in stock. I picked up the box and it felt light to me. They probably aren't very strong (the ones from HF).

I have never picked on up or installed one but we have put a couple pulls on one a guy here has and no problems, even on heavy side pull.

I think this kind of mount is more suitable for a Jeep type vehicle anyway. I have seen a 10000 lb winch on a hard side pull bend a warn one

Ya I wouldn't want to use one for a hard side pull. I used mine on my truck a few times. Works great for mounting on a trailer to.

I built my own with some 1/4" plate and 1/4" wall square tube.I even welded a piece of receiver tube under it.So I can pull a light trailer with the winch in place.That or for a hook for yanking.
