I was crusing around today running errands and happended to drive past this muffler shop with this sweet extended crew cab dually. I immediately busted a U and came back to get some pics. The guys in the shop must have thought I was nuts. Here's the pics. Sorry they're not super quality, it's from my iphone.

wow just wow

there is a semi wrecking yard a couple miles from my house, mabey I should go get me a sleeper :haha:

I'm actually thinking about grabbing my camera and heading back and taking some real pictures.

I'll pass, I think it makes the truck look like a wannabe 18 wheeler.

Chop the top down a little and I'd drive that anywhere. Maybe when I get a CC again, I'll do that. Sorta like a trunk but better cuz its on a pickup:D

Saw a newer dodge dually today setup just like this but it just had a frame w/5th hweel hitch instead of a bed. pretty sweet lookin tho. sorry no pics :o

Been seeing alot of those on towrigs.com and evilbay. Apperantly there is (or was) money to be made hauling cars short distances. Far enough to want a sleeper, close enough to be cheaper than the semi trucks or rail cars. Get a 45' trailer and haul 3 cars at one time.

Reminds me of those g-3500 vans, that were cut in half, welded back together and had a bed put on the frame behind it. But it seems like a useful vehicle, just very odd looking

That thing has the aerodynamics of a barn door. Functional i bet though.

Hope he has one beast of a motor to handle the extra drag, weight, and length.

I always thought it would be neat to get a crew cab and weld the bed to the cab and make a pass-through to the bed about 4 feet so that I can stick my feet in there to sleep. Cover just the front part of the bed so that I can use the rest of the bed for a 5-wheel.
