I'm taking out my big huge ac box in my 77 k5 (its not hooked up/i dont need ac anyway/i have no top and usally no doors so its usless nayways) and I have an extra heater box with no ac from a '77 2wd chevy. After I unbolt the ac suitcase/compressor crap, will the heater box or whatever bolt right up and work? Or?

Pretty sure it's not bolt up. The firewall is cut different, there'll be cutting and welding involved.

I just cut my A/C box & put sheetmetal over it. This way it doesn't take up a lot of room & I still have heat.

The cores are in different spots , and the hole in the firewall is larger for the a/c evaporator .

You will need to fill in the firewall first with a patch , then cut the new hole(s) out .
