What year truck? FI trucks use a slightly different set up than carb'd.

Check the switch in the dash first. It is a double pole double throw. Pull it out and make sure all of the 4 prongs do something. I had one dead pole on mine.

i might part it out. i will be keeping that. sorry...

If your looking i was told blewetts has a bunch of axles, even 1 tons. it sucks tho they pull it, not you. www.johnblewett.com

dunno if this will help....
I did this in mspaint so enjoy my madd skillz.... :haha:

this is how my 78 with dual tanks is wired....

also side note... I think all the switch does is give power to the post on the unit...

so if you take the part out... and ground it to the battery then hit positive it should click...

someone please confirm first.. we dont need anyone blowing themselves up... :wink1:

mine is wired the same as RootBreaker's

is it not switching at all? try switching the tanks with the key on and the motor off and see if it makes any noise. mine is pretty noisy and you can hear it switching when the engine is not running.

do both tanks need to be hooked up for the system to work or can i just run it off one side? hope i can. that would be great need to be able to move it around. thanks

OK i now know i can run it with one tank. i checked the wires for power. i was only getting 8v. it should be closer to 12v right? or am i wrong? thanks for the help
