Tire carrier and tailgate installed. They broke the bracket for the rear view mirror so they are sending it to me. Wife got her helmet. and we got a cover for the machine when transporting it.
The mirror will probably not be useable with the tire in the way so it may go on the jimmy.
Had to get a hitch that was 2 inch drop instead of the 6 inch drop that I have in the pics.
1978 F-150 Custom 4x4 shortbed, 400 engine, 4 speed manual with granny gear, married np205, 354 gears. 120,000 original miles. All original drivetrain.
It's my wife's truck. She hates the rims. I want to get them painted or powder coated. I think black with the front edge of the fins green or chrome would look good. We constantly get offers to buy the truck or the rims.
Put 15 miles on it so far, went to a couple County/Forest Service roads yesterday until snow and closed gates stopped us. Being fairly nice to it until break in is done. It's a fun little buggy, Wife likes driving it.
Ran Slaughterhouse Gulch today, yep suspension works well, got a little sideways tippy once and one good climb. Wife drove some too! The switch to go from 2 wheel drive to 4x4 and engage the diff lock is nice.
