sye conversion options???

i read somewhere awhile back that dodge np241 cases didnt have a slip yoke in the rear.

however i havent been able to find that info again and dont have any to reference locally at the junkyards

is there any truth to this? thanks for the help

I thought it waz the dodge 208s. But im prolly wrong. Lookin forward to more input on this

yeah, was under the impression a JB Conversions kit was for the 241 and either Tom Woods or a dodge 208 was for the 208c. Would love to know as I also now have a 241.

I've seen the conversions for the 241, but I think those were custom, not from the Dodge case.

Thank you for the link. I have a 208 and rear driveshaft from a Ramcharger sitting in my garage, I was debating in trying to swap parts so i could have a fixed yoke.

I junked and 87 ramcharger but saved the Tcase and driveshafts. I meant to type 208 not 205. I do have a fixed yoke 205 that will hopefully make it under the blazer sometime in the future. I need to swap the 465 output shaft or find a longer extension housing before I can install the 205.

Nope, I believe you are correct

dodge used 241's (a DLD model and the more desirable DHD) in Rams and all I've seen were slip yokes. The 208's were fixed yoke, at least all I've seen.

To the op, doing the dodge/chevy 208 SYE is not hard, I ended up spending under $100 total to do one, and that included buying the Dodge case.
