SYE for the 208

no one makes one for ours

you can rob the rear tailshaft/out put shaft off a dodge though and make it work /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

Actually no one makes a "GOOD" one for ours , the place Dave got his d44 from , and your gear guy works makesone but requires drilling and tapping th eoutput shaft , which may not be that strong at all

An NP241 should bolt right in place of a 208 so you can get a 241 and then do a SYE on it. Or you can do an SYE to a 208 using some Dodge 208 parts. It is not a direct install from what I understand though. So work is required to get the D208 parts to work in a C208.

I got a 4x4 Garage mag and it says Driveshaft Superstore sells a bolt yoke kit that gets rid of it but doesnt make it any shorter.

I have a good idea for a stock one , but lack capital to see it through , but it would of involved a new tailhousing kinda like a locking hub internally ( look at the internal part and how the inside turns with the axle and the body stays with the hub and rotor ) , on the end where it bolted over output and the flange inside tailhousing turned with the shaft while tailhousing stayed stationary , wouldn't shorten it at all , but it would be easy for someone with manufacturing facilities to make I'm sure . And make the flanged part same as front so CV's are easy as buying a front shaft and borrowing parts /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

If you just want to go with a cv joint, I do have slip yokes made for the 1350 joint, then you just have a soild shaft made, this is what we use in all my customer tahoe, and blazer vehicles. call if you like. 910 326 2881
