well i went wheelen yesterday and got stuck i was doin alot of forward and reverse action and then the truck just stoped movin. i have perfect clutch pressure but even when the truck is runnin and the clutch is engaged it will still go into gear without grinding? alot of people are saying its my coupler for the tranny and t-case
please help
i have a sm465 and 205

The coupler for a 465/205 is known to fail on occasion, I haven't broken one yet but I have seen the aftermath of some. they tend to crack and then shatter long ways leaving you with no grinding or clunking indicating what let go. Sounds like you are on the right track.

Unhook your rear driveshaft, put the tranny in gear, crawl under it and see if you can spin your t-case output by hand

i think its more along the lines of the input shaft because when i was gettting towed home i had the t-case in gear and the tranny was grinding when i tryed putting it in gear so that would mean that the t-case is spinnign the output shaft on the tranny causing the gears to movin inside. i think that its the input because if the motor was running the tranny would have trouble going into gear with the clutch engaged.
post your thoughts

There are a lot of things on these trucks that will break before the 465 itself breaks but anything is possible... any chance your issue might be in the shifter? Maybe bound up between gears or broke a shift collar?

It sounds like whatever broke is going to require a tear down to fix so break out the tools and post pics of the carnage

1 way to know for sure. its time to pull it all and check. then you and the rest of us will know for sure.

could be a trashed clutch disk or input or coupler ? who knows.
