I just got my transmission (muncie 465) rebuilt about 2 weeks ago and have put about 1100 miles on it in that time. It was initially filled with regular 80w-90 gear oil. Some dingbat at the shop put too much fluid in and now I am in the process of replacing the front seal. Since I'm going to dump out the oil anyways, I am contemplating refilling it with synthetic oil in either 75w-90 or 75w-140 just to help it run cooler down south around Trinidad. Would any of you have reservations about using either of these synthetics in this transmission?
