So I currently have a T-350 mated to a NP203. I have a NP205 10 spline. I would like to run.
My long term plan is a 4l80E w/ a doubler. So I do not want to spend a bunch of money in the interim.

But I wish to use my NP205 in the interim. I have a few options, but one that I don't know anything about.
My options are:
Buy a new input gear for the 205. 27 spline. Available from ord for $155 and the effort to put it in.

Buy a advance adapters 27 spline to 10 spline coupler. Available online for $152.

http://www.advanceadapters.com/prod...d-10-spline-female-on-the-transfer-case-side/

Source new NP205 for unknown cost in 27 spline.

My breakdown is since cost of the coupler is roughly the same as the new input shaft. The new shaft makes more sense. Until I add in the time to swap the unit. Plus then I would still need to swap the input shaft to 32 spline down the road. Adding more time and some cost.

So due to these factors I am leaning towards the coupler.
My questions are this.
Is this adapter strong enough for my 406 build?
Would there be any fitment issues?
Any one had use this or a version of this? If so what was the outcome? Good or bad?

Typically the advance adapter stuff is pretty good stuff, just looking for some feedback or experience to easy my mind before I lay down the cash.

NWF has a 10 spline doubler kit if you want to do it cheap. I'm running it and its been holding up just fine. But then again I just have a little 350 tbi motor in front of it.

Opinions and thoughts welcome. Going to post over here since not everyone follows build threads

Ok, so I found a complete case with coupler and adaptor. Thanks for the offer on the adaptor sweetk30. Now since I have the new case I am wondering which one I should run.

So the new case has a fixed yoke. (Pics below) The old on is a slip yoke. So what are the pros and cons on the slip vs. the fixed yoke? I am guessing my drive shaft will need to be lengthened? If I run the fixed yoke can I run a cv joint in the back? If I can, should I?
