T-Case Drop

Ok guys, I know I am going to get a varried responce from this question, becuase i know that different people do it different ways. However, hears the deal. I have a Rough Country 4 inch full spring lift. I had it profesionaly installed. I beleive the folks who installed it lowered my T-Case and the shimmed the rear accordingly. It rode like a dream. The kit was installed about a year and a half ago. About 6 months ago, My tranny blew up, I took it to another shop (tranny Speacialist) They rebuilt my tranny and reinstalled, however, I think the flipped the spaceres and put the T-case back to factory again. I have had some vibrations and changed my u joints and everything. Couldnt really figure it out. Just yesterday, i realized my T-Case was not dropped anymore... My question is, that i cant remember for sure if they dropped the T-case or not when they did the lift? But I Think they did. So A. Isnt the T-case suppose to be dropped for a 4 inch lift?
And B. Would that explain my vibrations?
Any help is appreciated.
Oh, and one other thing. My dirve shaft is lengthened by 1 inch.

some times, i droped mine, friend dropped his, so i would just do it an see if the vibes go away

It doesn't have to be dropped.. I put my lift in myself.. And I didn't drop it for about 6 months. Then I was bored one day and I dropped it.. It made no diffrence.. But some people say it does...Dan

i rode with mine in the stock place for awhile and dropped it later. i think it helped a little to just to decrease the angles but it doesnt HAVE to be.i would think it would have something to do with what tranny your running too as far as lenght?

After I put my original 4" lift on, i drove it and it vibrated like hell. So i dropped the t-case with the factory spacers and it took care of all the vibes. Just watch your fan schroud/fan contact after you drop it.

Mine was dropped about a inch to get rid of the vibrations with my 4 inch lift.The spacers where already there just had to move them.The transmission shop use to put it back stock every time they worked on it.

Thanks guys, I apreciate all the help. Coincidently, My tranny developed a bad leak yesterday, and so it is at the tranny shop as we spaek. So I will say something to the guy who works on my tranny. If he dosnt really have much of a answer for me, i will contact the folks who installed my lift to begin with. Thanks again.

the spacers may be on the top side of the bolts, get them to put them between the frame and the crossmember again.....

I would have them put your tranny back where the shop had it that installed the lift. I, too, have the RC4" full spring lift. It certainly doesn't hurt to drop it. And, the rear springs are shimmed with the assumption that the tcase is dropped. I would go ahead and have them put it back. May not solve your vibes, but it certainly can't hurt.
