After putting a 3 Inch body lift I think it screwed up my T-case because I dont think I can shift it fully. I have an NP205 and TH350 and its

4 Hi

it drives in 4 wheel drive at all times I just unlock the front hubs. If I pull it all the way down its 4 Wheel drive high. if I push it all the way up its in 2 wheel drive hi. But its front wheel drive? WTF

Anyone know how I can fix this? and dont say take the BL off :P

Take a look at the opening in the floor where the shifter goes through. The shifter may be contacting the tunnel and not allowing it to fully disengage 4wd.

Edit: Just reread the o p and don't know exactly what is going on. Have you had the case apart? I am interested to see what is going on.

as with any lift, you must make sure that all linkage is extended also.some kits come with it.but 205 is pretty much solid.i dont have any floor shift plastic or anything being it is a 72,but it sounds like either the linkage is binding or something may have came apart in te linkage.you will have to look under where the linkage is attached to the case on the slider that changes the gear inside the case and make sure that it is not binding.hope that makes sence.yours being newer it probably has a plastic transfer case shift boot and plastic may be in the way when the body lift moved the body away from the chassis and transfer case.

Does the shifter pivot bolt to the T-case bracket or to the floorboard of the truck? My 75 had a problem going into low range after the body lift, just had to notch the floorboard a half inch or so. If your truck has the pivot mounted to the floor, the leverage will be all wrong now. You may need to cable shift it. http://www.northwestfab.com/Shifters.html

How do you adjust the linkage on a 205? I don't recall any adjustment on the ones I have seen. There is only and S-link and the flat bar that goes between the shift rails.

Try pushing the shifter all the way forward. Then get under the truck and look at the shift rails and see if they are both slid all the way in. After that I would pull the shifter the other way, one notch at a time and see if the shifter rails are both moving.
