T400 cooler line thread...3/8" NPT????

I need the size of the threads where the line adapter threads into the case.

thanks Brett, I was at work last night and wanted to get some stuff ordered, so I couldn't get to my trans. but now I'm home and I'll check em to confirm....just seemed bigger than 1/4NPT?

NPT #'s always throw ya off.... actual diameter to # being different...

If I remember right the TH400 isn't a standard NPT thread though either. I think it's called NPST and the threads are somewhat different.

NPT straight thread huh?
Seems like they have a nylon washer on the flare adapter?

yeah, i have a pair of the correct fittings around here somewhere for a 700... iirc, they have nylon washers for the straight end... don't have the link anymore, but if i dig em up, i'll post em...

i ran reguler npt for yrs without issue... matter of fact, i did that on the 400 in my chevelle.... pretty certain the 400's and 700's are the same...

I don't know where you can find the factory stock fittings, but here are some aftermarket fittings.

I run a set of those. In fact ,I have a lot of Sweet's fittings, never a problem.
