I am putting a tach in the K5, and cant figure out which wire I need to connect into to get the RPM's. I know on a point system that you go to the grounding side of the coil, but I am not a fan of trial and error when it come to clipping wires. I know that its gunna be one of the two wires coming from the dist. module to the coil, but I am not sure, or if there is an easier way to obtain the RPM's from another location I would appreciate the help.

Thanks
Christian

just an fwi for people searching later, the Haynes manual diagram is backwards...

I tapped the wrong wire when i was setting mine up tonight, when it didnt work i decided to wait until i could search arround on here.

hope i didnt do any damage

Just as Brett said, there is a single white wire dangling from the coil that is for the tach signal.
