Tach. on TBI ?

I don’t have enough knowledge on TBI system,in fact this is first one I’ve ever owned. I’ve tried to understand how it works, but must be having senior moments. Just not getting it. Can you please explain it to me. Thank You.
 
Ignition systems, really haven't changed that much, even with the advent of SEFI, & individual coils per cylinder, it's still the same old shit just repackaged.
The computer controlled engines usually have a designated "tach" wire.
My 8.1 did...
 
Not sure I understand the question. Are you asking how TBI works or how to connect a tack to a TBI vehicle?
There is only one connection from the coil for the tach.

Actually yes it’s a 2 part question. 1 where to connect a tach wire to : 2 understand how a TBI system works. I’m rather old school ( carburetor) . I’m not familiar with all the ; map , ecm, etc…. throttle body .. and how all the electrical stuff co-inside within the system.
