@PaulZ, how many miles do you expect to drive? If you don't drive much mileage becomes less of an issue. For my personal situation, extra gas in my Suburban is cheaper than insuring an extra commuter car. I still own both, but I switch the insurance back and forth seasonally (it's not like I can drive both at once anyways). You may find that year-round driving one K5 is cheaper than year-round insuring 2 cars, if you're only driving one at a time.
