tail gate cables

Where can I find some tailgate cables for my 83 k5 like the Originals some of the aftermarket ones look cheap.

Been a guy on ebay selling military surplus ones (which I assume are GM pieces) but they are going for over $30/pair. Not sure if any are up there now, but I gave up. Apparently people are willing to pay that much for them.

Are the aftermarkets that bad? I know Dorman makes/sells them.

Saw them on ebay they did not say the manufacterer but if it comes down to it im just going to get them and see how it goes. I was hoping somebody who had a donor truck might be willing to sell some.

The ones i bought from Rockauto are fine. Slightly thinner than stock, besides that though, look good.

I got the cheap ones on eBay and they work fine and don't really look cheap

Have you tried the dealer? I think they still have them
