I have a manual crank tail gate window in my blazer and i can not get the window to go down all the way, it sticks up about 2 inches, i took the entire regulator out and it appears that the gears are not lined up but it is all rivited together so i can not change the postion, is there a trick or somthing that i am missing here?

Tail gate window problem

the arms are rivited but im sure the brackets are just bolted in. at least thats how my 77&79 were. anyhow you can un bolt the geared arms from the tailgate push the window in and then line the gears up and bolt it together.
