Ok fellas this is what I got:

-Headlights
-Brake lights
-Turn signals

This is what isn't working:

-Tail lights
-dash lights

I checked fuses and bulbs, all is well. Is this the headlight switch you think needs replacing? How do I need to go about finding my problem, I'm completely lost.

Also, I want to rig up some LED lights up under the dash to use for whne the headlight switch is twisted all the way over, any ideas on which wire it is that I need to tap into for this?

OK after doing some research I think I need to check the power on a brown wire on the firewall, is this where I need to start?

The brown wire does provide power to the tail/parking lights, there may be a separate fuse for the tail lamps on some trucks, most have stop/tail/turn signals on the same fuse though...

The interior llamp (dome) has a white and orange wire going to it ,one is a ground, the white one I think,it goes to the door jamb switch where it gets grounded when the door opens or when the headlamp switch is rotated to the left all the way...there is a tap in the fuse box you can hook gauge or dash lights too that only gets juice when the headlamp switch is "on" in either position...your dead dash lights might be due to the black ground wire up under the dash near the E-brake pedal not being connected or has a bad ground..

I'm not sure if that applies to mine, its a M1009....I am going to check the brown wire for juice this afternoon. If it has juice then i guess I will work my way back to the tail lights, if not then I guess I will check right before and after the switch :dunno:
