Does anybody make a non-OEM crank for our blazers? I've heard the stock ones from LMC or other places are even worse pot-metal than the original ones. Mine is broke like they all seem to do eventually. I did some searching and didn't come up with anything. Has anybody fabbed one? I don't even care if it locks.

I'm doing my tailgate now, and I'll tell you the crank is the best of all the parts. I replaced everything including the tailgate, except the regulator. The crank assembly from LMC is pretty good, it is as good as the factory.

You can check E-Bay for some NOS cranks.

I'll add, that if your crank broke it's time for a good cleaning and lubing the regulator assembly. I took mine out and cleaned it in solvent, then soapy water. After drying, I used some of the stick grease for doors and greased the gears. I drilled a small hole in the gearbox thing and greased it too I also replaced the rollers and rivets. The window works like a charm now.
