Does anyone make a replacement for the panel that goes on the inside of the tailgate (you know, the removable one to get to the inner workings)? I can't seem to find one.

In Ohio they rust out (along with the bottom of the gate) real bad. This is the 4th K5 I've owned and they were all trashed.

Over the years I have made them from plywood or alumunim.If you want to find a used one at a salvage yard it wont be inventoried so ask for tailgates. Ask about a damaged one, that will have no value to them. Then ask for the specific piece and they will sell it.( If u can find a salesman that will get off his a$$ and check for you) . Good luck
