tailgate mods

i was looking at the packing for the trail write up and was wondering what the author used for hinges for the swing arms.
my stock fender mounted spare tire carrier is a bit over burdened, and when the thing is open and the top is off, i can't shut my tailgate, as the body flexes too much

I don't remember what the hinges were but I do know you need to put them far enough aft or the doors will not open all the way. Someone on here still owns that truck, but it's not the author so I don't know if it still has those doors on it.
