No, one positive wire at a time.
One terminal is forward, the other is reverse. Connect the battery ground to the body of the motor (clean off any rust or paint) and the battery positive to one of the two terminals inside the connector.

Oh woops, thanks for that correction. I will test it out later today if I feel up to it...

I looked for the switch so I could trip it, and even after having Paul explain it to me over the phone I cannot find it. Is it really obvious, or is it hidden? All I can find it where the tailgate latches on, and the 2 metal tabs that go into the rectangle cutouts on the body...

Someone smack me and bring my mind to sense...

if theyre talking about the swithc that allows teh window to work...on both sides of the tailgate theyre are two little clamp thingys that when the tailgait is shut will latch onto the hoops inside the body. If yuo got that then simply press the clamps into the tailgait they should snap shut do this to both sides adn *if* your motor works then it should be fine and dandy and you can continue diagnosing the prob.

BTW if you need a motor ive got one...

The switch is inside the tailgate. It's acts on the left-hand latch from the back side.

Have you verified that motor works?
