Anyone own a set of these DG tailgate supports? I'd like set but don't want to spend $60 for a pair.
They just look like they're basically two pieces of flat steel. One end clicks into the latch on the tailgate, and the other end just has a hole drilled into it to go over the striker on the bed.
I'm just wondering if I can just get two strikers (pic below the truck pic), two pieces of flat steel, drill some holes, and be done with it for less that $25-$30.
