Tailgate Swap

I have a 76 K5 with hardtop and rear glass. I ordered a replacement tailgate and summit literally shipped me a tailgate for a truck, not a k5 with rear glass tailgate. However, all may not be lost if what I was thinking about is possible.

I was looking at a softtopper...maybe the tailgate they shipped would work in this scenario? Just buy the handle and retrofit/install parts for the posts on the k5?

A truck gate is a direct swap BUT you will need all of year matching hardware. All the threaded holes are on your Blazer.

There are 2 styles of truck gates (cosmetic changes) but I don't know the year split. The hardware is different per version.

yep, just order the same year hardware as Summit's tailgate you got. Hinges and trunions
