I can't for the life of me figure out how to lock the window crank on the tailgate of my 1977 K5. The key goes in fine and I've tried wiggling it and using it in all ranges of rotation of the window crank. I haul a lot of tools and gear so I don't want to leave it up for grabs. Is there a common trick to making this work or is the lock just broken?
If so, can I buy one new or do I have to search for a good used one??? Can a locksmith repair only the lock???
Cheers,
Scott
