LMC lists two rubber bumpers for the tailgate window assembly for 73-91 K5 Blazer and Jimmy. Anyone have pictures of where these go? I think I found one spot (fork near bottom center of tailgate) but have no idea about the other. Any suggestions?

My tailgate is at the body shop being restored and painted I have list of items needed and these bumpers / stops are one of the items. I wish I could help you on exactly where it goes in the bottom of the gate.

I looked at LMC but bought mine at Classic Parts ... Go go the item and read the description as it gives a location where they are supposed to go.

Below is the Parts breakdown of the tailgate from the 1985 - 1986 Parts Illustration Manual along with the Catalog Number and Parts Number.

It looks like # 85 is the bumper on the drawing.

Good Luck and let us know what you find out.

I believe you have the correct parts list but wrong diagram. That inner cover, item 8, is for a suburban. The Blazer tailgate cover looks different.

The description on classic parts was very helpful tho. It says they go at the bottom of the tracks, which would be on the ends of the tailgate near the bottom.

Thanks for the help

Actually the page is correct which calls for the K(16) Endgate ... The Suburban tailgate looks like this page which is the CK(06) Endgate. Notice Piece #9 .. this is the cover of the cover ... which the Suburban's used to finish out the backend.

If you need I can print the parts list for this Endgate to compare.

Interesting. The diagram you show for the Blazer calls out a single fastener for item 85 in the center. I think we are looking for two square bumpers under the tracks

I’m will say the LMC diagram also points to the center

What's interesting is both dwgs I shared shows a single piece (#85 on Blazer and # 92 on Suburban) both being round as well with the same part number on each parts list # 8785295 and no reference to the quantity.

For the price I would by two and be sure I have them ... as mentioned I ordered mine from Classic Parts just waiting for them to arrive.

I just got the two Rubber Bumpers in from Classic Parts ... Here are some photos for your review ...

Let me know the outcome on how your installation goes ... My Blazer will be tied up at the body shop for at least another 90 days. I'm just buying replacement parts I know I will need ... IMG_0951.JPGIMG_0952.JPGIMG_0953.JPGIMG_0954.JPGIMG_0955.JPG
