Hi all, as stated in the title, I just replaced the inner and outer seals on the tailgate window and now it's slow to open and close. I have to help it along with my hand. No idea where to start troubleshooting. Any thoughts?

Not to be rude but we get this question A LOT! Do a search for “slow tailgate window” or some other key words.
But a few quick things to check are making sure there’s a good ground. From factory the case of the motor is ground and it’s path goes through the hinges which can corrode and make a bad connection. Run a temporary heavy gauge wire from the motor case to bare metal on the frame. Measure the motor voltage while operating the motor with a multimeter. Does the voltage change when operating from the dash or the tailgate? Also, make sure the track the window rollers ride in are free clean. The original grease that was used dries up and turn hard. Clean them and use new grease of some sort. Check the guides the side of the window slide in to make sure they aren’t binding - leave them slightly loose and roll the window up to see if that helps. Make sure the drive cable coming off the motor isn’t binding, you may need to lube it. That should be enough to get you started.

Go back in time and kick the engineer in the balls that designed that setup.

If you are incapable of making the jump back in time you need to open the access panel on the gate to address a couple of items.

#1 and it don’t matter if it’s manual or power is making sure the rollers and the tracks they ride in are not shot. If the rollers are still round, lube them up and add lubricant to the tracks.

Next make sure the gears for the regulator aren’t caked with old gummed up grease. Clean and relube. My preference here is white lithium spray. Sticks where you spray and isn’t as heavy.

If it’s power you may need a little wd40 down the cable.

From there on a power gate you may need to do some research about wiring in a relay to get more power to the motor. There are many threads on it here.
