tailgate ???

Can I use the shell for an electric tailgate for a manual tailgate application. I'd be removing the guts from a rusty 73 to install into an 89. /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif

The gate shells are the same for 73-91, manual or electric. There were some minor changes with seal fastner holes, and a few other very small things, but basically 73-91 gates all interchange.
