Tailgate

Ok I have 1982 K5 Blazer. I need a new tailgate mine is rusted really bad. I was just making sure I'm getting the right tailgate. I found out that the 1973-1983 is the same but the 1984-1991 are different. The differences is the hinges and the panel can accesBUT I have 1989 GMC Jimmy that has the same tailgate as mine.

Sorry to many words. The hinges and the the window being smaller. Access yo the cargo area. So can anybody please help? Thanks for your time! Dave

As long as the hardware follows the tailgate, it should bolt up. After that it's the smaller stuff (power/crank, trim) that might be different. I'll be corrected but '73-'91 should all fit so long the hardware matches the gate.
